Jason O’Halloran To Leave Glasgow Warriors
Jason O’Halloran, a former centre for the Hurricanes who turned to coaching till leaving the Glasgow Warriors along with Dave Rennie at the end of the season. The 37 year old has been under the new Wallabies coach Rennie for the last three seasons, but recently announced that he would be leaving the club in order to be closer to his family. Talking about his leaving, the coach stated that he had loved his time at the club, and that a lot of good people are involved with it. He added that with his family now living in New Zealand once again, he has decided that he will be moving back to be closer to them by the end of the season.
O’Halloran had stopped playing professional in Japan of 2004 with Kubota Spears. The next year he had taken up coaching for the team before moving back to New Zealand in 2007, and took up roles with Hurricanes schools team and Manawatu Rugby Union. He then went on to coach Manawaut from 2011 to 2015 before he joined Vern Cotter’s Scottish coaching stuff for the 2015 Rugby World Cup, which is where he would meet Rennie in Glasgow.

He has since signed up Australian Scott Wisemantel as his new attack coach, meaning that the coach will need to take on a different role compared to he one he had at Glasgow. It’s also speculated that Rennie might need his help with the Wallabies.
